Sing and Celebrate Ministry
The children of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church "Sing and Celebrate Ministry" created scarecrows for their fall festival and used them to collect donations for DCC. This joyous activity generated $105.33 for the Dickerson Center. Check our Photos page for a picture of their work!
Rock the Block Party

'C' Avenue between 12th Street and Charleston Hwy, West Columbia
Please come join us for the first annual "Rock the Block" party. A section of 'C' Avenue will be closed and the local bands Villanova (3-6pm) and Going Commando (7-11pm) will be featured. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Bring your lawn chairs (but please no pets or coolers) and join us. The auction this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before and one you just will not want to miss. For a mere $25.00 per person/$40.00 per couple donation, you will enjoy a live auction conducted by one of the country's premiere auctioneers, and of course, a silent auction for the more discreet bidder! You will be entertained with great music and there will be plenty of hors d'oeuvres and beverages throughout the evening. High bidders may purchase items with cash, check or Mastercard/Visa.
Directions to Bankair/Columbia Aviation: Take the Highway 302 exit off I-26 going toward the Airport. Bear to the left at the fork (do not take the road to the Airport) on Edmund Road. Bankair/Columbia Aviation will be on your right.
Ninth Annual "Fore the Children" Golf Tournament

Hidden Valley Country Club
This is a Captain's Choice ladies only tournament where every level of player, from the novice to the professional, is welcome to play. An established handicap is not necessary. Enter as a team or individually and we will place you on a team prior to the start of the Tournament. Our purpose is to have great fun while raising money for the precious children served by the Center. The players enjoy 18 holes of golf with snacks, beverages, and prizes throughout the day. An Awards Ceremony and Cookout will top off this fun-filled day.
Directions to the country club: Take the Highway 321 exit off of I-26. Go 6.9 mi. toward Gaston and take a right at the stoplight onto Woodtrail Drive. Go 2 1/2 mi. and take a right on Excaliber Court. Hidden Valley Country Club is located at the end of Excaliber Court.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Dress Rehearsal
Come see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! This Junior Arts Production of the Village Square Theater is a special dress rehearsal to benefit the Dickerson Center for Children. Board member Jackie Brothers is doing the lighting for the production. We promise chocolate, chocolate, chocolate at the reception beforehand. See the flyer for details on how to get your tickets.
2007 Light a Heart Campaign
The Fun(d)raisers invite you to "light a heart" in honor or memory of a loved one. Your $5.00 donation will benefit the Dickerson Center for Children, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation operating a specialty care clinic providing comprehensive assessment and treatment services to physically and sexually abused children throughout South Carolina.
You can write your loved one's name or a message on the red heart. Your heart will be laminated, strung with ribbon, and hung from the large tree in front of the Dickerson Center located at 1615 Augusta Highway in West Columbia. There will be a tree lighting & dedication on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 6:00 pm.
Please join us for the dedication and light refreshments. Thank you on behalf of the children with bruised hearts and bodies whose lives you can touch and leave a handprint of love through your generous donation.
